Welcome to the Bloody Jam Squad, Brave Souls!
Gathered from different corners of the translation world, our team has come together, united by a shared passion: translation.
This Halloween-themed LocJam brings us face-to-face with the timeless chills of Night of the Living Dead, where our mission is to breathe new (after)life into George A. Romero’s classic by translating its haunting lines.
Let’s make these subtitles come alive… or perhaps, undead!
About us, adventurers:
Oksana Artyukhina - Translator, editor
Fiction translator mostly interested in AVT. English-Russian, Japanese in process. Always broadening my professional horizons. Find it engaging to try different formats and genres of texts as a translator. Probably a future legal translator. I also find localisation a topic of special interest for myself. I intend to learn more about the process in the next few years. I have many hobbies as a good translator has to know a little bit of everything. Reading and writing usually come first.

Alina Begalova - Translator
Freelance translator and content creator. Dream to try game localization and will once become a Project Manager. I adore learning languages (English, German, Japanese and Italian). I also tell people about my life with ADHD in my Telegram channel “как помыть посуду”. I have a lot of interests, but the most permanent ones are dancing and reading, and of course, I watch movies.

I am passionate about the art of translation. I specialize in bridging languages, working with English, Spanish, and Russian in both directions. I dedicate myself to translating movies, podcasts, and series, bringing captivating stories to life. Also I have been delving into the fascinating field of game localization, embarking on an exhilarating new chapter in my life. When I’m not translating, you’ll likely find me engrossed in a good book, or enjoying a film. Links here.
Svetlana Manilo - Translator, editor, designer
Freelance EN>RU translator and game localizer. I am fond of arthouse cinematography, poetry, philosophy, video and tabletop games, pixel art, drawing, assemblage paintings, photography, music, learning languages (French, German, Ukrainian, Greek, Latin, Georgian, and, of course, Russian and English, which I know best), playing the piano and guitar, traveling, and a lot more. Oh, and since we localized a movie here, I would like to say a few words about my interests in this area. Interested in connecting or collaborating? Contact me!
